The Tarot is a tool to be used as a map to navigate the world with more awareness. To look at the Major Arcana, the ones we used for this draught dedicated to you, Orlando readers, is to see ourselves through a reflection. Tarot is not our portrait, it is to look in the mirror and observe what comes to life in us.

I drew three cards, asking the Tarot what 2025 holds for Orlando’s readers: a year of soul work awaits us that will lead us to a state of balance and grace.

The cards that came out are: The Moon; Temperance; Justice.

Let us use them as a map to give life to the work we are called to do.

In the first two cards there is a lot of water, the element that represents emotions in the tarot. The Moon, Cosmic Mother, calls us to rely on our intuitions. We must learn to listen to them and recognise them: 2025 opens and takes us into the world of ‘magic’, where the most important thing to do is to live and not to explain. Let us ask ourselves: why do we always need to explain everything? Perhaps because it gives us security? But too much mind shuts out emotions and intuition. What happens to a heart that is always blocked by incessant thinking? And what happens when the light suddenly goes out? There, our intuition emerges, which knows very well where and how to lead us. Something else manifests itself: emotions. Feel them, experience them. Feed on these mysterious forces.

There comes Temperance, a loving, quiet angel who brings balance and healing. Because emotions must be taken care of. They teach us to train the mind and the body. And the heart? We must learn to train that too. When one enters into listening to oneself, that is where the magic happens and everything finds its place. From the sky of the Moon, Temperance brings intuitions down to earth and makes them come true: if not this magic, the most beautiful…

And here comes Justice, looking you in the face, straight ahead, with his sword and scales. If the Moon is the Cosmic Mother of the tarot, Justice is the earthly mother, she removes all that is unnecessary and recreates. She has a high level of awareness, she is in balance because she knows what is right (for her) and what is wrong: choose what keeps you in that balance you have created with so much work together with Temperance, she seems to say. Listen to your basic needs and harmonise them within yourself, letting go of what is not needed. Justice carries with it this great teaching: to be well, to find balance, we have to let go of what is not right for us. According to a Buddhist saying, this is one of the most important things we must learn on this journey called life, also according to Justice.
