Homo Natural Somniator is a collection of tableware created by Orlando and House of Ita. Ita’s skilled craftswoman’s hands, honoring her Macedonian roots, multicultural background and unique style born from the meeting of East and West, met Orlando’s brilliant narrative charge and together they shaped a powerful project.
Starting from the philosopher Thomas Hobbes and his unforgettable quote “Homo Homini Lupus”, Orlando and Ita imagined a human who is new and ancient at the same time, aware of their being lupus of the other, of the different, but also eager and dreaming of returning to a primal state of brotherhood and union. A union between humans but also and above all with NATURE.
Behind each plate of the House of Ita x Orlando collection there are six words in different languages of the world that capture and express unique concepts of the bond between humans and nature. Starting from Latin, through Japanese, Swedish, German and English with reminiscences of Greek, humans speak all the languages of the world to

MIRIAM ESCOFET
Miriam Escofet is a multi-award-winning artist of Spanish, English and Irish origin.
She was born into a family of artists and has exhibited in London, Paris, Italy and New York. Escofet’s work is unbelievably realistic, with an obsessive study of details. Miriam Escofet was bestowed with the honour of portraying Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II which was unveiled in July 2020 in the first ever royal virtual unveiling ceremony.
