You would never have thought that it could have happened and yet here you are.

After years of being apart, years of each of you moving on with your lives.

Then a hooter sounds at the window and you look out, as you did years ago, with the same trepidation as the first times… indeed, now this emotion has become renewed, has blossomed and has changed.

You grab your straw hat with its blue ribbon and rush down the stairs, smiling. You open the door and see those rims, that windscreen, so familiar, which you had apparently not missed, but which you now realise you can no longer do without.

You catch a glimpse of a white smile from inside and everything falls back into place. You inhale the scent of cherry blossoms that have never been so fragrant.
